Register Smartphone on Windows
How to Pair Your Smartphone
You will be registering (pairing) your device with one or more systems depending on your use case. Pairing is unique to each workstation, application, or Identity Provider, so this process will repeat as your use cases expand.
This section describes registration on Windows using the HYPR Workforce Access Client.
Login to your computer.
Launch HYPR Workforce Access via the desktop icon or from the Start Menu.
You can quickly search using the taskbar or Start menu for 'workforce access' if a shortcut is not visible on your desktop.
Open the Workforce Access Client, then click Start Pairing.
When presented with the option to enroll a Smartphone or Security Key, select the option for Smartphone.
Get your phone ready to pair, then click Begin Pairing to activate the QR code.
The secure QR code will be displayed.
Launch the HYPR Mobile App on your smartphone.
* Upon launching the app for the first time, you will need to give the app permissions to send you notifications as well as allow access to the phone's camera and biometrics.
Tap the Scan QR button located in the top right corner of the screen; it looks like a miniature QR code.
Scan the QR code displayed on your computer screen.
Give your smartphone a moment to pair with your computer. It may take a few seconds. Then, choose your preferred authentication method, such as face, fingerprint, or PIN.
* Options will vary depending on your smartphone model and your organization’s login protocol.
You can use a decentralized PIN instead. See our Knowledge Base for more info on What is a Decentralized PIN?
Follow the on-screen instructions to finish pairing; you maybe prompted for your computer’s password.
Upon completion you will be presented with the following screen:
The HYPR Mobile App will confirm the pairing was successful.
Your paired device(s) will be displayed in the HYPR Workstation Access Client.
You are now passwordless!
To add a new device click Pair New Device. Follow the instructions, as mentioned above, to pair another Smartphone or Security Key.
