How to Pair Your Smartphone

You will be registering (pairing) your device with one or more systems depending on your use case.  Pairing is unique to each workstation, application, or Identity Provider, so this process will repeat as your use cases expand.

This section describes registration on macOS using the HYPR Workforce Access Client.

Log into your computer as you normally would. 

Launch HYPR Workforce Access.

You can quickly search via Spotlight if you do not immediately locate the shortcut.

Open HYPR Workforce Access Client, then click Start Pairing.

When presented with the option to enroll a Smartphone or Security Key, select Smartphone

Get your phone ready to pair, then click Begin Pairing to activate the QR code.

The secure QR code will be displayed.

Launch the HYPR Mobile App on your smartphone.

* Upon launching the app for the first time, you will need to give the app permissions to send you notifications as well as allow access to the phone's camera and biometrics.

Tap Scan QR located in the top right corner of the screen.

Scan the QR code displayed on your computer screen.

Give your smartphone a moment to pair with your computer; it may take a few seconds. Then, choose your preferred authentication method such as face, fingerprint, or PIN. 

* Options will vary depending on your smartphone model and your organization’s login protocol.

You can use a decentralized PIN instead. See our Knowledge Base for more information describing a Decentralized PIN.

Follow the on-screen instructions to finish pairing; you maybe prompted for your computer’s password.

Upon completion you will be presented with the following screen:

The HYPR Mobile App will confirm the pairing was successful.

Your paired device(s) will be displayed in the HYPR Workstation Access Client.
